Welcome to the Unity Barn, a holistic support center in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. RATES & INSURANCES

COUNSELING SERVICE RATES

I believe that cost should not be an obstruction for you to engage in transformational healing work to improve your life. Therefore, I work on a sliding scale depending on your finical situation.  Sliding scale rates vary from $85 -$150 per one-hour session; depending on your finical situation we will agree on a rate prior to starting our work together.  You may also use funds in your Health Savings Account (HSA) or FSA to pay for therapy services. Some individuals are provided a health savings account debit card to use for services depending on their plan. Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis.

Insurances

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Accepted Insurances

I currently accept the following insurances:  Aetna, Cigna, United Behavioral Healthcare, United Healthcare, Optum, Some Blue Cross / Blue Shield Plans (but not all) and Carebridge.  You can be reimbursed if you have an unlisted insurance as long as your plan has "Out of Newtowork Benefits".  Be aware of what your co-pay is and if you have a deductible on your plan for mental health coverage.

Other Insurances: 

If you have another type of insurance plan not listed, you may have “out of network” benefits that allow you to be reimbursed from your insurance provider for all or a portion of the service.  You would pay in full on an agreed upon rate at the time of service and I will give you a specialized invoice for services that you send to your insurance company in order to get reimbursed at their out-of-network rate.  Many individuals utilize this option. Know that you may also use funds in your Health Savings Account (HSA or FSA) card to pay for our work together.  

Payment Methods

Cash, check, debit, and all major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover), HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA Cards are accepted for payment.

Cancellation Policy

We have a 24 hour Cancellation Policy.    This is to allow other individuals to take you appointment time who are waiting for services.  If you are a "No Show" for your scheduled therapy appointment you will be responsible for your agreed upon rate.  If you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you may be required to pay 50% of your agreed upon rate.  There are exceptions of course (e.g., illness, emergencies, child coverage, etc.).
