MEDITATION & MINDFULNESS CLASS

Meditation and Mindfulness Class:
This class will introduce the basic principles of meditation with focus on mindfulness of breath, body, and thoughts. Our program is modern, upbeat, and relevant while also remaining deeply rooted in an experiential meditation tradition. Our knowledgeable teachers will guide you through deep experiences based on Buddhist teachings, personal philosophies, and scientific research. Our classes are designed so that, regardless of your level, you will feel comfortable and supported.
Each weekly class includes two guided meditations, and practical teachings on how to apply and maintain the experience of inner peace in your daily life. Participants will learn mindful practices that can help you develop greater mind-body awareness, reduce stress, become less reactive to difficult experiences and touch the deep spiritual realm within us all. Classes will be taught by Unity Barn staff, Christopher Pittelli and Jonathan Labman.
No Prior Experience is necessary. Everyone is welcome!
Advanced registration is not required but seating is limited

HOW TO PREPARE
Dress in clothing that allows you to sit comfortably in a chair, or on the floor. Feel free to bring a blanket, meditation cushion or pillow for your comfort. Chairs will provided.
You may bring a bottle of water that has a secure cap.
Please do not wear fragrance or use fragrant lotions or essential oils during the classes.
Remove your shoes and leave them outside of the studio. Place your phone on silent.
Enter the studio and find your place to sit with quiet awareness and turn your attention within. Please refrain from talking once inside the meditation room. This is the place to relax and commune with your higher self.
