For the first time, the Tibetan Buddhist Monks of Drepung Gomang Monastery of India, will be visiting the Unity Barn for an evening of Tibetan prayers, chanting, and meditation!
Tuesday, October 1st from 6:00pm to 8:30pm
The Monks from Drepung Gomang Monastery (the summer home of H.H. Dali Lama) are joining us during their 3-month national “Sacred Arts Tour 2019.” This is a rare and auspicious opportunity to be in the presence of these ordained monks, students of H.H. Dalai Lama, as they speak, sing, teach and pray. The tour group is led by Geshe Lharampa (a doctorate holder in Buddhist Philosophy, a highly qualified Buddhist teacher, a monk who has achieved the equivalent of a PhD). Geshe-la will be available to talk on the main tenets of Buddhist philosophy and is happy to answer your questions about the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. His teachings will be given in Tibetan and translated into English by a translator. Their lovely sacred crafts and jewelry will also be offered for sale.
This is a Free Event - All Ages are Welcome!
