Chris is the owner and founder of Unity Barn and its vision. He has over 25 years of experience as a therapist and healer serving others.

Deciding to call a therapist and reach out for support with life's challenges requires courage and a leap of faith in your self. Your desire to end your suffering is where this healing journey begins. Your call or email is the first step. If you are reading this, the time is now. I deeply understand the human condition, the trepidation about going to therapy and the place where you feel stuck in life right now.  I am here for you. I know it can be hard to find someone to connect with in a sea full of therapists and counselors. Finding the right connection and a safe place to do deeply personal inner transformation can be difficult. I am here to help you and invite you to make lasting changes in your life.  Know that aside from decades of professional training as a therapist, I have also been a client for my own personal growth and healing.

I meet you where you are in your pain and distress to support you in moving through the stuck points in your life that hinder your growth and stifle your spirit. Sorting out your emotional process with an experienced therapist can cultivate your own inner resources and create opportunities to healing that may have not been available before.

It is my premise that states of mental confusion, depression, anxiety, upset and dissatisfaction with life and our relationships result from internal conflicts leading to a sense that things are not working out in our lives, at times without really knowing why. I invite you to cultivate a life full of possibilities, satisfaction and relationship.

Together we examine problems from practical, spiritual and clinical perspectives, moving towards integration, relief, transformation and reconciliation; improving your life, relationships, health and well-being.

Chris' practice is transpersonal in nature, drawing methodologies from mindfulness based spiritual traditions of the world including Buddhist psychology. He offers an eclectic array of healing paths that include the use of interventions and personal growth work from many different transformational lineages integrated with contemporary psychology.  This type of counseling takes the entire person into account, not just their mental and emotional aspects, but examines problems from both practical and spiritual perspectives. Chris' work also integrates aspects of the human nervous system and the impact upsets and traumas have within the somatic & emotional fields of our experience.

Chris is a State Licensed psychotherapist and National Certified Counselor who has over 25 years of experience in counseling and the healing arts. He provides individual counseling and psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, couples and families. Chris has helped thousands of individuals over several decades to recover from and work through: Depression, Anxiety, Trauma (PTSD), Divorce, Relationship Issues, Identity Issues, Grief & Loss, Life Purpose Issues, Spiritual Crises, Forgiveness, Life Decisions, Changes and Transitions, as well as other personal and emotional matters.

I would say that the thrust of my life has been initially about getting free, and then realizing that my freedom is not independent of everybody else. Then I am arriving at that circle where one works on oneself as a gift to other people so that one doesn’t create more suffering. I help people as a work on myself and I work on myself to help people.
